Galaxy Entertainment Group Limited, a subsidiary of Galaxy Casino S.A., has privately placed USD$240 million, 5-year, zero coupon, zero yield convertible notes with a small group of United States based investment funds.
The investment funds's interest in Galaxy have to do with their success in Macau, many U.S. based casino operators have been working diligently to get the blessing from certain Asian governments and be granted licenses to operator in such regions.
Galaxy views the investment by these U.S. Funds as a strong vote of confidence in Galaxy and its strategy.
